25th Jan 2016, judge's house hit by Saudi led coalition airstrike killing family of in Sanaa, Yemen

On 25th January 2016 at 3am, Judge Yahia Robaid and 8 members of his family were killed, including 4 children and 3 women, and 2 others including 1 woman was injured. Judge Rubaid was a judge on a case against Yemeni President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi, for treason in absentia. On the same night, the headquaters for 'Evidence of Criminal Research' building was also targeted by 2 airstrikes. As stated in the Foreign Policy publication "there was no legally valid basis for bombing his home, as he and his family were civilians and under international law should not have been deliberately targeted".

The destroyed Sanaa house of Judge Yahya Roubaid, after it was hit in an airstrike carried out by the Saudi-led coalition, killing eight people.

In the capital of Sanaa, all that remains of the home where Judge Yahya Rubaid and his family once lived is a metal skeleton, chunks of concrete dangling from what used to be his living room. An airstrike hit at 1:30 a.m. on Jan. 25, as the judge and his wife, children, and grandchildren slept. A second strike followed shortly after, the sound echoing through the city.

According to family members, Rubaid was a judge on a case against Yemeni President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi, for treason in absentia. It is unclear whether his house was attacked for this reason. What is clear, however, is that there was no legally valid basis for bombing his home, as he and his family were civilians and under international law should not have been deliberately targeted.

Mohammed Abdullah, Rubaid’s nephew, recalled digging through mounds of rubble, finding no bodies beneath.

“We immediately ran to my uncle’s home and frantically began looking for their bodies to see who had survived,” he said. He called one of his daughters’ phones and heard its muffled ringing close by. When Abdullah returned to dig once more for signs of life, he soon realized that buried beneath the gray stones were body parts — lumps of flesh, bone, and sinew. A few feet away, half of Rubaid’s body was found on top of a gas station opposite his bedroom.

“We lost count of how many body parts we had found; no one was whole,” he said.

"Judge Yehia Mohammed Rubaid, his son, three women, and three children where killed when a missile hit their home," his nephew Ahmed Mohammed told reporters.

Speaking in front of the debris of the destroyed house in central Sanaa, Mohammed said the attack was carried out overnight by coalition jets, which have been pounding rebels almost daily since March last year.

He said his uncle had presided over a court specialising in "terrorism cases" which tries suspects accused of links to Al-Qaeda.

4th Nov 2015, poor family hit picking strawberries hit by Saudi led coalition airstrike in Yemen

On 4th November 2015 at 8.45 am, the Saudi led coalition airstrikes hit a strawberry farm in the village of Safia Tamesh in the Sanhan region, Sana'a Governorate, Yemen, where a poor family were picking strawberries to earn a living.

A neighbour of the family reported that 9 people were injured, of which 2 were women and 4 were children. 2 of the injured children were reported as seriously injured.

Apparently the rocket was clearly seen fired from a plane by most of the villagers due to the time that it was dropped in the morning.

In the video below the children are about to be driven to the hospital shortly after the incident. The man is repeatedly saying 'they striked in the middle of strawberry farm' and he also says to the children 'don't be scared, God shall take our revenge'.

The neighbour also sent the photos below of the crater in the field after the airstrike, as well as a photo of some of the fragments that they found on the scene. He commented that it was a surprise that nobody was killed.

25th Oct 2015, food warehouse targeted by Saudi led coalition airstrikes in Sanaa Yemen, hospital damaged

On the morning of 25th October, the Saudi led coalition airstrikes targeted a food warehouse located in Sanaa, Road 45, in a residential neighbourhood. The warehouse burned to the ground along with all its food contents. The bombardment also destroyed nearby homes, shops, cars and damaged the Naser Specialist Hospital where 10 patients were injured.

The video below reports that the loss of the warehouse is devastating to traders as well as to consumers, who already suffer from food shortages due to the Saudi blockade. A few meters away from the warehouse, Naser Specialist Hospital suffered similar damage to its Surgery wing, Intensive Care Unit, and Emergency center. In brief, all facilities and their medical equipment were destroyed. Ten patients were injured and had to be transferred to hospitals in the capital Sanaa.

Civilians cried angrily in response to the destruction of the food warehouse, as seen in the video, holding packets of the damaged food of children’s sweets, cakes, and potato chips. At the hospital, doctors pointed at the damaged equipment and patients’ x-rays. They are saying that Saudis are hitting randomly, targeting civilians and their basic means of survival.

23rd Oct 2015, two children killed when Saudi led airstrike hits home in Hadran village in Yemen

On Friday 23rd October, the Saudi led coalition airstrikes targeted a home in the village of  Hadran in the directorate of Bani Hashish, which lies West of Sanaa, killing two children and injuring their mother.

According to the grandfather of the family and owner of the house, Mr Ali Ahmed Khalid (the first speaker in the video below), the dead included his granddaughter Abeer Ali Khalid, and his grandson Murad Ali Khalid. The children's mother, the wife of Mr Ali Ahmed Khalid's son, is in a critical condition in hospital. Neighbouring houses were also damaged with other members from the same family also injured.

In the following video, one of the men says that the Saudis’ thirst for blood destroys every means of life. While the loved ones are dead, the surviving wounded become destitute, with nowhere to live except among the ruins of their home.

15th Oct 2015, 5 civilians including 3 children 1 women, killed in Noqom area of Sanaa by Saudi led airstrikes

On 15th October 2015, Saudi led airstrikes hit the Alssad neighborhood in the Noqom area of Sana'a. 5 civilians were killed including 3 children and 1 women, and others were wounded.

The following video is silent, the information was gathered via the video description as well as on Facebook and other local news media (screenshots below).

WARNING: this video is extremely GRAPHIC and DISTRESSING. It is put here as evidence of war crimes to call for an independent UN inquiry and to call on the West to honour the Arms Treaty and stop the supply of weapons to Saudi Arabia.

22nd Sep 2015, school hit by coalition airstrike in Yemen killing a teacher and his 2 sons

On 22nd September 2015, the Saudi led coalition airstrikes hit Abdullah Al-Wazir School in Bani Hushish district of Sana'a Governorate. A total of four bombs were dropped, 3 hitting inside the school and the other just outside, killing 3 civilians including 2 children, and injuring 2 people including a woman and a child. All the victims were from the same family. The repeated airstrikes hindered rescue attempts.

18th Sept, 13 killed in Old Sanaa when Saudi led coalition strike UNESCO heritage home in Yemen

On 18th September the Saudi led coalition airstrikes hit a residential area in the historical city of Old Sana'a, which is one of UNESCO's World Heritage sites, killing 13 civilians including a woman and 9 children.

17th September 2015, Saudi led coalition airstrikes hit crowded residential area of Eastern Jeraf, Sanaa, Yemen, killing 10 injuring 11

On 17th September 2015, Saudi led coalition airstrikes hit the crowded residential area of Eastern Jeraf in Sana'a. Ten residents were killed, including children, and a further eleven were injured, including one child who was seriously injured. Four houses were totally destroyed and seven others were badly damaged.
